Steel Blue at A+A 2025: Launching Six New Safety Boots

From 4 to 7 November 2025, Düsseldorf will once again host A+A, the world’s leading trade fair dedicated to occupational safety, security, and health at work. Every two years, the event brings together companies, industry leaders, and decision makers from across the globe to share innovations that improve how people work.
Steel Blue will be part of A+A 2025 with a clear focus. We are introducing our newest safety footwear models and updating our existing range to show how comfort, durability, and protection can work hand in hand. For us, A+A is not only about being seen on an international stage but about demonstrating to our distributors and partners that Steel Blue continues to lead the way in safety footwear.
What We Will Showcase
Visitors to our stand will see a mix of familiar innovation and new directions. The focus is on footwear that responds to industry needs, whether that means adopting new materials, refreshing designs, or exploring future concepts.
This year, we will launch six new models to the public: four composite boots and two fully waterproof styles. The composite range includes the Parkes and Southern Cross boots, both now available in Granite and Black Amber. Joining them are the Southern Cross S7 boots, released in Distressed Brown and Black, offering complete waterproof protection designed for tough conditions.

Composite Safety Boots
One of the key updates in 2025 will be the expansion of our Composite Safety Boots. These boots are built with a non-metallic composite toe cap that has been tested and certified to withstand a 200 joule impact, offering the same protection as steel. They are especially valuable in industries where metal-free footwear is preferred, and at A+A 2025 we will show how our new composite models continue to deliver both comfort and safety.
Design & Colour Updates
We are also introducing new colour options that add more choice to our range. Steel Blue understands that safety footwear is not only about function but also about fit and style. A broader range of colours allows workers to select boots that feel personal while still meeting safety requirements. In previous years, we introduced the Slate colour and the limited edition Goldband, which stood out for its modern look. Building on that success, we will reveal the next steps in Düsseldorf.
Waterproof Boots
Alongside our composite range, we will also showcase our fully waterproof boots designed for tough environments and all-weather protection. The new Southern Cross S7 models, available in Distressed Brown and Black, combine complete waterproof performance with the same comfort and durability expected from every Steel Blue boot.

Why We’re at A+A 2025
For Steel Blue, A+A is not just a trade fair. It is a business-to-business platform that allows us to strengthen our position in global markets. Our goal is to connect with distributors and partners who value quality, compliance, and comfort in safety footwear and who can help us make our products available to more workers worldwide.
Events like A+A also give us the chance to present our boots in person. While specifications and product descriptions can explain features like Trisole® or composite toe caps, nothing compares to seeing, holding, and wearing the boots for yourself. This hands-on experience is where the value of Steel Blue footwear really comes across.
Equally important, A+A gives us an opportunity to listen. By meeting with industry representatives and potential business partners, we gain insight into what different markets are asking for. This feedback helps us shape future product development and ensures that we continue to deliver boots that meet both safety standards and real-world expectations.
At its core, our participation in A+A 2025 is about building relationships. It is about reinforcing ties with current partners while opening the door to new distributors and markets. Düsseldorf is the right place for those conversations, and it gives Steel Blue a stage to show why we remain a trusted name in safety footwear.
A Legacy of Comfort & Safety
Steel Blue was founded in 1995 with a mission that still drives us today: to build work boots that provide serious protection without compromising on comfort. Over the past three decades, we have grown from an Australian manufacturer into a global brand, trusted by workers and businesses around the world.
Our boots are recognised for features such as Trisole® Comfort Technology, which cushions and supports the entire foot, and the Ortho Rebound® footbed, designed to maintain shape and provide long-term comfort over long shifts. We use premium leather and carefully engineered outsoles to make sure that every pair of Steel Blue boots meets international safety standards while still feeling good to wear.
That combination of comfort and safety has defined our reputation, but we know the demands of workplaces continue to change. What worked yesterday will not always be enough tomorrow, and that is why A+A 2025 is an important opportunity for us to show how our footwear is evolving.
Steel Blue x Fix Foundation Boot
We are proud to present the Steel Blue x Fix Foundation Boot, Steel Blue Europe’s first charity boot, created to support the Fix Foundation UK and its mission to improve mental health and well-being across the construction industry.
The Fix Foundation provides support to tradespeople and their families who face the challenges of mental health, stress, and isolation that can come with working in the building trades. Through counselling, awareness programs, and on-site outreach, the organisation helps to create safer and more supportive workplaces for thousands of workers across the UK.
By partnering with Fix Foundation, Steel Blue is using its platform to raise awareness about an issue that affects people across the industry, from apprentices to long-time professionals. A portion of proceeds from every Fix Foundation Boot sold helps fund these vital initiatives, allowing tradespeople to access the help they need when they need it most.
Built to the same high standards as every Steel Blue boot, the Fix Foundation Boot combines comfort, safety, and purpose. It’s a reminder that while safety starts from the ground up, it’s just as important to look after the person wearing the boots.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for A+A 2025, Steel Blue is focused on innovation that has a clear purpose: creating safety boots that protect, support, and last. The new composite styles, fresh colour updates, and waterproof S7 boots we will share in Düsseldorf are part of that journey.
We look forward to welcoming partners, distributors, and visitors to our stand in November. Together, we continue to raise the bar for safety, style, comfort, and performance in workforce footwear.
