Steel Blue’s “What a Pair” campaign is raising more than money for Sweet Louise NZ.
Over $18,000 has been donated from the sale of Steel Blue’s pink boots to support New Zealand families affected by Breast Cancer.
This May, Steel Blue is giving others the opportunity to remember their own loved ones too.
Whether it’s a family member, friend, colleague, or someone who has inspired you, just request your customisable Pink Leather Lace Tag from Steel Blue, and you can add their name to your boots to honour their memory as you raise awareness for Breast Cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women in New Zealand with one in nine women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Around 3,500 women and 25 men are diagnosed annually, and we are currently seeing an increase in younger women being diagnosed with breast cancer. Sadly, more than 600 women will die from breast cancer each year in New Zealand.
“Raising over $18,000 for Sweet Louise NZ was an incredible milestone,” said Peter Bell, CEO of Steel Blue. “Our Pink boots not only help raise funds for Sweet Louise, but they serve as a reminder and spark powerful conversations about the importance of regular breast checks. Each pair comes with a shower tag that shows customers how to perform their own breast examination at home.”
Steel Blue’s partnership with Sweet Louise continues to provide practical support and emotional care for New Zealanders living with incurable breast cancer, helping them live as well as possible for as long as possible. As an organisation entirely reliant on fundraising, Sweet Louise said the generous support of partners like Steel Blue is essential to delivering its vital services.
This year, Steel Blue’s lace tag personalisation initiative will also help expand the campaign’s reach, encouraging both men and women to get involved and show their support for a loved one impacted by breast cancer.
