The Argyle® is a 150mm men's derby style, lace-up ankle boot with a padded collar and tongue for all day comfort. A popular choice for Bricklayers, Glaziers and Sand Blasters, the Argyle® has a TPU Outsole that is heat resistant to 130°C. The 200 joule safety Steel Toe Cap work boots offer ultimate protection. The outsole also incorporates Anti-Static properties, plus Slip & Oil Resistance.
Made from ethically sourced premium leather, the Argyle® is available in black or winter brown coloured Full Grain leather or wheat coloured Nubuck leather.

They obtain their leather exclusively from tanneries that are members of the Leather Working Group (LWG), ensuring adherence to stringent environmental standards. As of 2024, 90% of their leather comes from top-rated suppliers, with a goal to source exclusively from LWG Gold-rated tanneries by 2025. Additionally, Steel Blue emphasizes sustainability by ensuring all leathers are by-products of the food sector, minimizing waste and promoting ethical practices.

Strategically placed high-tech Poron® pads are placed in the sole and under your foot’s peak stress areas. We included Poron® in our Trisole® Comfort Technology, which is now the benchmark for safety boots.
Slip & Oil Resistance
All Steel Blue footwear is designed to exceed the Slip resistance requirement in both the AS 2210.3 and EN ISO 20345. Our boots are rated as SRC which means that the footwear has been tested in laboratory conditions on both a ceramic tile floor with a Sodium Laureth Sulfate solution (SLS) and on a steel floor with Glycerine.
