• Excessive wear of the soling material or exposure to wet and humid environments or both.

With a padded tongue and scalloped collar for ease of movement, the Torquay EH is a men’s 150mm lace-up work boot that is ideal for Electricians, Refrigeration Mechanics and Power Operators. Offering a range of boot technology features, the Torquay EH incorporates a zip side for easy on and easy off, along with Water Resistant technology, a Mako Toe Guard for extra protection and is finished with a sturdy Nitrile Outsole.
The Composite Safety Toe Cap used within the Torquay EH is lightweight and will not rust. The non-metallic Composite Safety Toe Cap used in these men’s safety boots is 40% lighter in weight than a Steel Toe Cap and provides excellent thermal regulation against heat and cold.
The highly resilient Composite Toe Cap used in these men’s safety boots is electrically non-conductive. Offering protection against spark ignition, the Composite Toe Cap is tough and prevents injury from falling objects at a drop force of 200 joules. When compared with a Steel Toe Cap, the Composite Toe Cap incorporated into the Steel Blue work boot range of men's safety boots has a better recoil after impact or compression.
Specifically fitted with a tough Nitrile Outsole for extreme conditions, the outsole of the Torquay EH can withstand temperatures of up to 300°C. At these high-temperatures, the Chemical Resistant Nitrile Outsole performs at the highest level to assist in keeping you safe. The tough and durable Nitrile Outsole used in Steel Blue boots is made from rubber that is resistant to oil and acid. Premium slip resistant technology is also incorporated into the outsole and offers superior cut and tear resistance.
The Torquay Electrical Hazard boot is lined with Spacer Mesh® which is a soft material that wicks moisture or perspiration away from the foot in order for it to remain cool and dry. The exterior of the Torquay EH is stitched with tough nylon thread and fashioned from premium Water Resistant waxy black New Zealand Leather.
The non-corrosive laces of the Torquay EH can be used to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. These can remain tied while the quick Zip Side release feature saves time and allows for easy on / easy off. The Velcro tab is an additional safety feature to keep the zip in place and cease any zip rattle while hard at work.
The full length soft polyurethane footbed that forms part of all Steel Blue safety shoes for men offers additional support from heel to toe. Retaining its shape and thickness throughout the working life of the boot, this comfort feature supports the arch of the foot and assists to reduce day-to-day foot fatigue.
